I know this thread is for Latvian bikes, but :sveiks: ....

My 1970 made small series roadracer from Izhevsk.

Only about 60 of these bikes were made in 1969-1975.
This one has serial number 15.Second IZ Sh-11 that I have is made in 1974 and has serial number 55.
Engine is tuned version of engine from IZ-Jupiter 3 streetbike.
Racing engine has 2 carburettors, close ratio gearbox and different clutch system from roadbike.
In factory state of tuning those engines had 35 horsepower and max 160 km/h.But they were tuned to 50-55 hp and more than 200 km/h.

It´s almost quite original condition, only carburetors are wrong(must be russian made sports carbs, model K-195) and dempfer knob is wrong one too.

I know 4 or 5 surviving IZ Sh-11 in Estonia.I saw one on sale in Ikskile too few years ago(or was it Sh-12 :( )
Yes,Izhevsk factory made lots of interesting sports motorcycles. There was a 3-cylinder 350 cc racebike,500 cc two cylinder racers(very fast),also a 250 and 350 single cylinder sports engines with 6-speed gearbox. You can see some pictures of them in my good friends site- http://www.emot.nl/fotoalbum/thumbnails.php?album=23&page=1

from what he said
there were only 10 of them in LV.

got plenty of spare parts,
maybe he's got your K-195
i could always ask him.

Avesome bike, very rare! But it seems not very hard to make a replica using stock Jupiter 3 (or better Ju 4 :top: ) bike. It'll be the bes way to tune soviet motorcycle.

Well, you can try to make replica using street bike parts, but it´s quite different from street Jupiter :D .First of all, frame is totaly special-

http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/2597/sh11pirkaal9.jpg

Actualy only rear shocks, front fork holders and front wheel axel from street Jupiter fit to Sh-11 1:1.
Front forks are 20 cm shorter, than on streetbike, tank is big- 30 litres,wheels(19-inch)are both different from street IZ(brakedrums are bigger than on IZ Sport).
I have a plan to make a cafe racer out of one my Sh-11.

And I also have one supertuned racing Jupiter engine(it won Soviet Unions 350B series title in 1988 and Estonian title in`88-89)+lots of well made racing (like titanium tube frame  )parts for racing Jupiters. It will make nice fast classic racer.

It would be nice,if you could ask about those carbs.And sorry,IZ Sh-11 had originaly K-194 carbs,not K-195  .
They look like micture of K-36(upper part) and K-62(lower part).
